Pediatric Pandemic Network Offering Free Resources

A network of children’s hospitals is providing tools and educational resources to help hospitals and communities prepare to meet the needs of children in disasters and other emergencies.

Pediatric Pandemic Network (PPN), an organization created by children’s hospitals across the United States, aims to provide a collaborative approach to leverage the resources and expertise of children’s hospitals in collaboration with national partners to empower all health care systems and their communities to be prepared to provide high-quality, equitable pediatric care in everyday emergencies, disasters, and global health threats.

Education aimed at preparing communities for these situations in advance is a key part of PPN’s approach. This effort includes the Ready. Prep. Go. Podcast, PPN Resource Central where users can find peer-reviewed materials, and online learning materials including courses.

PPN has made their online courseware available for free to organizations including CHA’s member hospitals.

Check out these courses on disaster preparedness. Simply click the link and then enter your work email and name to begin. (Entering your name and email allows entry into the system to launch the courses.)
